A perfect day for Bug to get his braces. He's thrilled. The Orthodontist said he'll probably have them for 3 years. BLECHK! Plus, he has to get a baby tooth pulled. Oh joy.
But just imagine how awesome his smile will be! - LOL.
And so it begins. I'm sure the rest of them will need them as well. Except Matt - he was blessed with his father's teeth. The rest of them aren't so lucky.

He's going to be feeling that here in a day or so.
Chew gum as soon as they change anything - wires, move brackets, etc. It really, really helps. The first month or two when they first change things are the worst. It does get a lot easier. Good luck!
I had braces for 6 years. Every time they were tightened, etc. I got to have a Wendy's Frostie for dinner and 2 Advil.
I had braces five years as a teen, then again for a year last year as an adult. My three teens all had them, too. We found a lot of resources at www.Braces.org, from the American Association of Orthodontists. I also started a blog on tips for feeling better, such as rinsing your mouth with salt water, at www.SilverSmileSurvival.blogspot.com. But the smoothies and milk shakes are great, too!
Oh my gosh! I can't believe how fast your kids are growing up! I miss you guys! I definitely need to come play soon! Tell bug good luck with his braces, 3 years will go by fast!
Congrats! Braces are fabulous! Okay, straight teeth are FAB not the braces themselves ;) ha ha. I had braces when I was 20 and paid for them myself and now have to have them again at 30 for a jaw problem- boo hoo!
