Christmas Lights and decorations...

This was the first year I helped Del hang Christmas lights outside.  I was up on the roof straddling the peaks, white-knuckling the edge while holding the string of lights and sticking the little clips under the shingles.  Getting down is the scariest part.  Del was holding the ladder and tossing up clips and lights, and testing them.  It's definitely easier as a team.

Thank goodness it's done.  We also finished up the tree yesterday.  Now all we have to do is wait for Santa to show up and deliver the goods!

Oooo - and Saturday Del made the frames for the canvas prints that Ruthy brought with her at Thanksgiving.   I stretched and stapled them yesterday and Del helped me hang them up last night.  Here's the finished look.

Happy Holidays!!

Hey Holli!

You can order the canvases through Heritage Makers - that's where she and her husband Jordan work. heritagemakers.com. You can do a bunch of different sizes.

Thanks for the comments!

Hey I just read your comment. I have all kinds of things you can do around here for the holidays. This weekend is the Pflugerville Holiday Stroll Downtown and then they light the Christmas tree down there. There is the Trail of Lights at Zilker Park - always cool. Salado has a cool Christmas thing they do where they dress up like Dickens characters, the Main Street Bethlehem is worth seeing for sure. The Christmas tree at the Capitol is lit up and is really pretty. And I can probably think of more but that is a good start. Your kids would probably love all except the Salado Dickens thing. :-) But I'm down to go up there anytime. And Keri Jackson will go if for no other reason than to shop. They have great boutiques and such.

Kristen,
Aunt Junie gave me your blog address... She was here showing my mom and I the cute pictures of yours and Tom's kids. It's amazing how different they all look from each other!

Your picture wall is so cute! Congrats on your 16 years. We have survived ours too!

PS - This is Del's hick Eagar cousin...:)

Well I got all the pics from Levi's CD, he got upset when Becky didn't make him his own CD since he doesn't have his own family yet well she made him a copy of the master CD, on the trip back to UT we copied them to Jordan's laptop! There are some really good ones! Hehe!
